ブログを始めたきっかけを話す前に，少しだけ自己紹介を...
私の出身は神奈川県で，小・中・高はずっと日本の学校に通っていました．大学はとある公立大学で2年間過ごし，その後アイルランドの大学に編入しました．なのでまだ学生です... 日本人の友達が就職を次々していくので少し焦ったり焦らなかったりしてますが，わりとマイペースに過ごしています :)!
更新が遅れたり早まったりバラツキがあると思いますが，多くの方に読んでいただけるように面白い内容にしていければいいなと思っています．よろしくお願いします!

なぜ今からブログ？
さて，本題に入りたいと思います！
理由はいたってシンプルで，アイルランドが大好きだからです！大好きなのですが，なかなか日本人に知られていない国... なので，より多くの方にアイルランドがどういう国なのか，海外旅行・留学に向いている国なのかなどを伝えられたらいいなぁと思いブログを始めました．いいところですよ，アイルランド！
For those who are reading this blog in Japanese and having no clue what I'm talking about, I just want to say that I love Ireland and hopefully you will like it too!
私がアイルランド留学を決めたとき，友達に言ってもなかなかピンとこないようで「あ～あの寒い国？」「イギリスの一部の？」というような反応でした．Ireland とIceland，似てますもんね英語でも日本語でも... でもたぶん "寒い国" の方はアイスランドかな．「イギリスの一部」ではないです，とってもイギリスに近いし，1916年まではイギリス領だったし，何なら北アイルランドはいまだにイギリスの一部だし... でも，アイルランドとイギリスはあまり仲が良くないです．というか，アイルランド人がイギリスを良く思っていないことが多いです. 歴史的な理由が強くここでは話しきれないので別のブログのトピックにしたいと思いますが，アイルランドにきたらイギリスと比べるのは避けたほうがいいかと思います．
When I told my friends back in Japan that I was going to Ireland, they didn’t know where exactly Ireland was located. Some of them were confused with Iceland. “Ireland” and “Iceland”, the spelling is quite similar but they are not the same country! Iceland is an island that is far out in the North Atlantic Ocean, whereas Ireland is much closer to the European continent. Some others thought Ireland was a part of the UK! On the island of Ireland, there is also a country called Northern Ireland (which the Irish call “the North”) which belongs to the UK, The Republic of Ireland however, is its own county.
話がだいぶそれてしまいましたが，何が言いたいかというとこのブログを通してより多くの方にアイルランドの魅力を伝えられたらいいなと思っています！

ただひたすら私が思っていることを書いていても面白くないので，あらかじめいくつかのトピックを準備しておきました．最初の方はアイルランド英語，アイルランドのアクセントやアイルランドの文化などについてで，私自身の話や留学についてはそのあとに書いていこうかなと思っています :)!

Apparently, I didn’t translate the entire blog into English. To be honest, I don't how many of you there are reading this in English so I want to write it in both languages for now. I haven't decided yet but next time I might stick with only Japanese and probably write a separate blog in English with the same content. Let's see how it goes! Thanks!
